July was definitely one for the records and no doubt we were all hot under the collar.  Just like any good blizzard, the heat equally kept me inside working nonstop.  I really hustled to get a new mosaic stained glass window created,  I wanted to enter the Art League's August exhibit on landscapes.  Although I'm not so much into landscapes, I like challenging myself and finding new ways to express myself.  Well, the challenge payed off, my piece was accepted and is on exhibit at the Art League Gallery in the Torpedo Factory for the month of August.  My son, Noah also had a sculpture selected to be exhibited as well.

I find making these windows so exciting because they change color depending on the time of day and the amount of light coming in.  Here another photo of the same window in late afternoon.

I've also been working on creating some ceramic pieces called "My Peeps".  They are 4 1/2" to 5" tall and are small containers for whatever treasures you want to put in them.

"My Peeps" family is slowly growing, check out my gallery in Clay Works for new "Peeps" and other ceramic sculptures.

As many of you know, I love designing cards.  My August aspiration is to build up my inventory with some of my old design favorites and start putting together some new ideas as well.  Please don't let letter writing become a thing of the past, everyone loves to receive a "thinking of you" note.  My first series are notecards (4 x 5)  $15.00,  6 cards in a pack called "The Age of Innocence".  These cards are my way of giving honor to all the beautiful brown angels from the late 1800's and early 1900's that never knew how special and lovely they were by public standards.  I adorn them in pearls, beads, laces, and special fabrics in the original design.  Below are photos that will be in this series.
