September Hath Thirty Days

LOVE is to the heart what the summer is to the farmer's year - it brings to harvest all the loveliest flowers of the soul.

I love this time of year, the sweetness of the air brings back childhood memories of being close to the earth, climbing trees and digging in the dirt.  It's a time to retire the summer frolicking and harvest the new goals and aspirations of the upcoming year.  Always the teacher and the student, September presents us with excitement, hope, and the feeling that this is going to be my year.

August was a good month for my mosaic stained glass windows,  I have sold them all and now need to come up with some new visions to create new ones.  I found a warehouse in Maryland that is similar to Restore, but has has much more vintage home decor items.  I hit the mother load on old windows!  The name of the warehouse is called "Community Forklift", it's really worth a visit if you like rummaging through old stuff.
I've been working on looking for my "niche" in ceramics, so that's exactly what I made, a "niche" with a mosaic twist.

"Silent Screen"- On exhibit in the Art League Gallery (Torpedo Factory)

            "Azul Bella"                                                   "Summer Breeze"

The latest "peeps" on the block are:

    "A Touch of Color"                                                "Eggzackly"

Noah, my son, will be exhibiting at "The Tubman - Mahan Gallery" this month,
and has a piece at the Art League Gallery (Torpedo Factory)
